In chapter six of “A New Earth” titled “Breaking Free” Echkart Tolle discusses the idea of how we can break free from the pain body. Tolle suggests that the first step to breaking free is to being aware that we actually have a pain body. When we become alert we will start to notice the influx pf negative emotion that occurs when the pain body becomes active.
