“What the mind can conceive, it can achieve”

– Napoleon Hill

You are probably saying great quote self help robot but how to Visualize?

Before anything can become a reality it must be first visualized in the mind. And the more clearly we can visualize what we want the more likely we are to actually manifest it into reality.

Like any skill you become better at visualizing with practice. As you practice visualization you will find that your ability improves and that you are more clearly able to define what you want to achieve.

One of the most common misconceptions about visualizing is that only some people can do it. Often people think of themselves as not having the creativity required. But the truth is anyone can visualize. To prove this think of a red sports car in your mind now. Immediately you should have been able to see a picture of a red sports car. This is the power of visualization in action. As you get better at visualization you will be able to see that car in more detail, hearing the sound of its engine and feeling the power of the motor as you accelerate.

You can use visualization to achieve anything you want in life, from achieving your ideal body, mastering a specific skill or attaining any goal. To get started with visualization simply follow these steps:

Step One: Be Clear About What You Want

Before you begin visualizing you need to be clear about what it is that you really want. Get out a notebook and a pen and write down what things that you want to achieve. If you want to lose weight decide exactly how much you want to weigh, what waist size you want to be and what you will look like. Don’t begin visualizing until you are absolutely clear about where you want to end up.

Step Two: Find A Quiet Place

When practicing visualization you want to choose a quiet place where you are not going to be disturbed. You can visualize standing, sitting down or even lying just make sure that you are not going to be disturbed while you are visualizing.

Step Three: Make A “Mind Movie”

This is the step when you actually make your visualization. You want to make a mind movie which includes as many different elements of your senses as possible. The clearer and more real you make your visualization the more powerful it will be. When you “see” your goal you want to picture it as if it is been achieved. For example if you were visualizing yourself make the perfect golf swing, see yourself performing that swing perfectly. If you want to lose weight then see yourself as already having achieved your perfect weight.

Try and add different senses to your visualization. So for example with the golf swing you would feel yourself pulling your arm back, you would hear the sound of the club hitting the ball and you would see the ball flying perfectly though the air.

Step Two: Be Consistent

Visualizing once and then forgetting about your goal is not enough. You need to make visualization of your goal a regular practice. Set aside some time each day (early morning is good) where you practice visualizing your goals. Commit to visualizing at this time each day. Even if you only a few minutes to spare you should still visualize. Visualizing consistently is far more important than the length of time that you visualize.

So use the steps and let me know how it went.
